That's what she said. Whoops! Sorry, my bad. That really is very unique. All the woodies were in their own way, but these were true custom-build by a coach works type shop. I know the name Cantrell, but there were others. Most of the GM Truck based ones I've seen were built by them.
Did someone ask, "Where's the beef?" |

Re: Pic Thread: Station Wagons
Best dog I ever had was an irish setter. I've had two wagons I drove and enjoyed. I had a 72 Vega GT wagon that I swapped to a 327. I enjoyed that car, quick and fun. The second one was a 71 Vista Cruiser. I got it with scattered 455 2bbl. My buddies dad ran a wrecking yard. He gave me a engine that had been on the shelf since 71. It was a 455 out of a 70 442 with low mileage. Holy cow that car ran great and was a ball. It ran a 13.10 consistently in the 1/4. Great grocery getter!!! I wish I could find the pics of both of them.

Re: Pic Thread: Station Wagons
Somewhere I have a picture of two cars my folks had at the same time. A ginormous Chrysler wagon, thought it was dumb back then, but would love to have it now. And a Ranchero, not remembering the year right off the top of my head, I think it was the Starsky and Hutch style. It was white with I think red or orange stripe in the indent.
I can post the picture in two threads killing two birds with one picture. |

Re: Pic Thread: Station Wagons
A friend had a Fury wagon from that era, I think 440 power. He called it "The Limo". A bunch of guys piled into that thing resulted in a fun time w/o fail!

Re: Pic Thread: Station Wagons
What is that thing in the last pic Tim? It looks sort of like a polywog or some dern fish.
