Upper/Lower control arm bushings??
 

So when or should I change my control arm bushings. I am taking my front suspension apart the have it powder coated. Is it a good idea to go ahead and remove the bushings then replace or should I just leave them and roll with it??

If I replace what's the best tool/method to do so?

You will need to pull them for powder coating so the grease won't run out and screw stuff up when they bake it. Inspect them while they are out and go from there. Need to pull your ball joints also.

OK thank you. Also are they difficult to remove and replace?

You can inspect to see if they are still good but personally I would just replace them since they have to come out anyway.

Similar question: I'm rebuilding my front-end along with a disc brake conversion. Kit came with ball joints, tie-rid ends, etc but nothing for the control arms. Should I consider doing this while I'm in there? Is there a reason control arm bushings aren't typically included in these "complete" disc concession kits? Seems like they rarely go out.

The reason they are not included is that they don't need to be replaced to go to the disc brakes. It is always a good idea to check your stuff when you have it down.
