Quadrajet experts?

I don't know much about quadrajets and I want to put a 4 barrel q-jet on my 413 small block. Is there a specific casting #or linkage I need to look for? I'm thinking of putting a performer RPM under it :burnout:. Sound like a winner? Tell me what you think...

Edelbrock makes replacement quadrajets. The linkage will hook up to certain models. I think the model#1910 is the one that matches what was on the trucks and has the mechanical choke but they make'm w electric choke also.

Whatever you do go with an electric choke

electric choke

What does it take to convert from a manual choke to electric?

I have a hook up at Jet Performance, he'll rebuild a Q-jet for $125.00

Thanks

Thanks for the help, 72beast I had looked at the Jet carbs since they will build them in stages to match your engine. I'll PM you as I'd like to talk to your guy at Jet.

In a related story... Anybody interested in a COMPLETE TPI setup? Fits early style (pre-87?) manifold bolt angles. It is a completely tunable ACCEL DFI with a Corvette intake. It just won't pull enough air for my over-bored 400 small block :banghead:
but it would perform like a champ on any "regular" small block.

I paid just over $2000 for it... any takers? I plan to put it on ebay but would rather a board member had a chance at it first. Email for pics, I'll try to post some soon...

I've got a stock 400 SB quadrajet if you need one to rebuild. I don't know anything about the motor or carb other then it ran but I never heard it. I assume it'll need a refreshing. What do ya want for the TPI setup?

I know a guy named bruce who owns Carburetors Unlimited. He is a Q-jet guru. Give him a call. I'm sure he wont mind answering some questions for you.
