1952 windshield replacement & SS Trim
1 Attachment(s)
I finally got my new windshield and weather stripping today and will be installing it in the truck soon.
I ordered the deluxe window trim because I plan on adding the SS trim. I found this great video on YouTube that will help with the install but they show it without the window SS trim. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqcW5QyatIo So the question is for people who have done it. Do you install the glass in the rubber and then the SS trim then install it into the truck? or do you install the glass in the rubber then install it in the truck then add the SS trim after? I plan on taking the SS trim off a truck on the farm for my truck. So I need to know the order. Thank you. |

The stainless is installed in the rubber on the glass and then it's installed as an assembly on the truck.

Thank you.
Are there any special clips that hold the SS into the rubber? Or do you just urethane it in with the windshield? |
Re: 1952 windshield replacement & SS Trim
As I remember there is nothing that holds it, the moulding simply slips into the rubber, no urethane is used, anywhere. That is unless after you are done it leaks, then you may have to use it. But I haven't installed one with AM rubber so I can assume it may be a work out to keep it from leaking somewhere.
