My K10 turns sharper to the left than to the right.

Hey all, my '72 K10 turns much sharper to the left than the right..Drag link adjustment? Maybe the drag link adjustment?

Sounds like it. Do you have a lift on it?

Yes it has a 4" with a dropped pitman installed by PO...I assume it's the right one drag link is level..

I had the same issue when I purchased my truck. I found it necessary to adjust the wheel stops, then center the box, set the toe and steer ahead. My truck drives normal now.

All of my K-10's I've had over the years have always been like that, my 64 that I have now turns sharper to the right then left...Even my Dad's 71 GMC also was like that, he didn't have a lift on it...

You've probably already done this, but if not.... take the steering damper off, then test and adjust other components. An incorrect or incorrectly mounted damper will do/cause this too.

Re: My K10 turns sharper to the left than to the right.

Fixed.
Replaced both ends of the drag link as the steering box end had quite a bit of play. Parked truck with wheels straight. Disconnected the drag link and turned steering wheel lock to lock a few times. Got about 4 turns. Turned steering wheel 2 turns and made the drag link fit...had to lengthen it about 2". Bolted everything down and went around the block. Truck turns about the same left and right now.
Pulled off my Astro Van steering wheel and adjusted it to centre.
It was really hard to park in the parking lots made for subarus and pries's. Seems to be good now.
