I have not noticed any. These trucks are not exactly quiet.

More concerned about the small noisy leaks. I’d rather have no WS than have a small leak somewhere. Kinda like the window being cracked open vs completely open. Going to give it a try. 👍

To these Honda seals fit for 60-66 trucks as well?

The durometer of the rubber has a lot to do with how much effort it takes to close the door.

Wow - this is just awesome, I’m truly in need of both door seals myself. I’m going to follow right inline with everybody else. The Honda Civic gasket is no brainer for me. Anybody have part numbers and what years. I’m going to buy a new pair.

Thank You.

Here are the part numbers - I just installed them. They have a preformed corner and I put that in the front top. I ended up cutting both sides though. The driver side just would not quite stay in place so I just cut it and put the ends together (no length removed). I ended up cutting about an inch off the passenger side though. It went really easy and the door seems to close pretty well. In a couple spots it was a little loose, but all you have to do is pull it off and squeeze it together a little bit and reapply. There is an extra flap on the inside that you probably don't need, but it doesn't seem to be in the way of anything so I left it.

I am going to try them.

I have a old set of Precision's and they still don't close without beating the door to death (even after about 8-10 years). Done all kinds of bending and tweaking. I have used the Dakota seals and they work great. I have also put a set of Dodge Caravan seals on a Burb and they fit perfect (made a thread on it). I have a new set of Precision seals on my 68 Burb and they fit better, but still needs a boost to shut the door....

Great find on this.....

What are you guys doing to the pinch weld? Are you rapping it with a piece of wood to bend it back a little, or using some kind of body work vice grips?

Thanks.

I didn't do anything to it. Just pushed the weatherstrip right on and adjusted the door so it makes contact all the way around.

I know some people have said that they hammered back the pinch weld that the trim mounts too and I was wondering how they did that

Re: OMG Honda door weatherstripping fits perfect no cutting required !!

I was frustrated with how my doors closed and sealed, so I bought a pair of new Honda Civic 2-dr opening seals to replace my repops from LMC. Wow. They are thinner and compress more easily than the 67-72 reproduction seals. My doors finally shut with little to no effort. I was also able to move in the striker to better set the gaps around the seal. The doors are now more flush with the cab, and the seal is compressed uniformly around the door.

Will all the positive reinforcement this thread is getting on these seals I may have to buy a set of them for my build. Good to see ppl think out of the box.

My 67 I bought some precision seal press on could not even close the doors. I got some glue in metro super softs from summit racing the right closes but not all the way. Someone removed the channel on the bottom of the door opening on both sides not sure why or even if it ever had any. I suspect the later models 71-72 the press in fit better maybe little bit different design to the door. If these metros don't work out I try the honda seals I wish I saw this thread a month ago would not have bothered with either of these.

The thing is I disassembled this truck in 2011 it's been a work in progress I had it painted in 2016 now just putting everything back together.

I concur, the Honda weatherstripping works perfect.

Got it, installed it on my driver side door and wow, it really fits well. I did have to cut and trim out a small piece, but it's in there and looks good too. I'll likely take it out tonight for a high-speed test drive (always a requirement when testing anything in the truck, right?) to see if we get any wind noise through it I'll report back if it isn't functioning as hoped.

Thanks for the pro-tip!

Re: OMG Honda door weatherstripping fits perfect no cutting required !!

Absolutely Amazing. The seals went right in and it was an exact fit with no cutting so no gaps. The door closes like it is supposed to. This is better than the original seal and looks like it was custom made.

I ordered a set of OEM spec Stainless sill plates from JL Fabrication in VA. They answered my emails right away and shipped out USPS the same day (today). The Taiwan ones are scrap bin bound lol.

I read this thread and hit the Pick a Part. The Hondas were all stripped, so I grabbed the 86-96 Dakota seals someone mentioned.

Just a heads up, they went in but were way too thick...got the door to shut with a violent slam lol

They were off a 96, maybe dude had the year wrong.

Just ordered up a new set from Honda parts direct. Very anxious to try them! Thank you again to the OP!

I installed a new set of push on style from Brothers trucks this summer and they suck. Same as you guys, scared my glass is going to break I have to slam the door so damn hard..

Re: OMG Honda door weatherstripping fits perfect no cutting required !!

Picked up a pair of honda seals today and the doors shut normal for the first time in a decade. I had the dodge dakota seals on it in previous years and always hoped they would soften up, but never did.

$7ea at the pick n pull for the last pair out of the 4 coupes on the lot.

I am not a fan of the interior side of the honda seals and don't see anybody mention it here. Seems like extra rubber that sticks out a bit. Has anyone trimmed the interior side of them nicely so they fit more flush inside?

It is not an exact GM replica as far as the extra bit on the inside but after looking at it I was not offended by fatness of that part. I dont even know its there now lol.

I can shut the doors from across the room with little effort and have to be careful not to slam it.

Thanks brian1971 for your helpful info and to MDPotter for the excellent pics and part numbers.

This helped me complete my 72 C-10 resto to the level I was hoping for.

Yes and hopefully Honda doesn't clue in to the sudden demand for these or they might decide to jack up the price to custom truck parts levels lol.
