ok found another issue truck ouch
front output shaft oil seal leaking have drips gear oil ,wet on crossmember gearbox mount , can this job be done with hand tools at home to replace
a new seal? |

having checked the haynes manual says its a pretty easy job to do ...

Sounds like it shouldn't be too bad, but I never had to do one.

yea parts only 7 bucks plus i need to invest in a seal puller tool,
and a socket big enough to hammer new seal inplace. see i cleaned the transmission last year, had a peek under was wow wet at back so seal is gone, also the speedo sensor i think has a small rubber seal, might replace that as well. 3 main issues with truck are oil seal , need new ac compressor seals gone in that , u can buy kits but am just gonna buy a new unit, and my temp sending unit to dash is faulty. |
