wiper switch issues

Wiper switch decided to give me some issues, I won’t turn off for some reason. I lightly tapped it with a wrench and it worked for a few minutes then stopped and to replace it. Since the 92 S10 column I’m now using has the controls built in can it be wired directly to the wiper motor? I’ve been scouring the internet but can’t find anything that references it. I have a two speed intermittent wiper motor.

You would have to check the wiring diagram for the rig that donated that multi use setup to see what is involved in making it work. My guess is that it controls relays that control the wipers on the donor rig as those switches are rather delicate in their capacity to handle amps.

i have the same head on my turn indicator, i tried to ohm the switch out without any luck

if you can ohm the switch you should be able to use it to control relays
