A step by step v8 swap http://www.mustangandfords.com/howto...ade/index.html a 8 inch you need one 64-66 mustang or falcon sometimes you can find one cheap or free,Some people use the 8.8 from the ford explorer but the diff is off center so if you want to lower the car it can be fun do a little googling on that.

I assume I'll spend a little less than this swap...not going with SSBC's:lol: Thanks for this post...gonna make it easy once I get going:metal:....I did pick up an 8" rear end with 2.73:1 which I'll swap for maybe 3.55's also got the 5 lug axles, but I don't have the backing plates and drums....I figured since I'm putting new back on, I'll end put just buying those new, etc.....
what's your thoughts on frame stiffeners? I seen lots of guys install...

ahhh....Cool....

Im hoping to buy a old mustang to restore after im done with my truck... Been dreaming about a 68 since I was a kid... Love my 05 GT though...It makes it a little easier lol
