ATCA National Show '17-Macungie, PA

Always a fantastic display of a little bit of everything under the sun that once was in the world of trucks. I ride up with my sign man/pinstriper/mural/trick paint artist friend in his '58 Reo on Friday. This year on our way up he had a an antique canoe to buy he saw the weekend before and to stop by Schwalm's Model A engine rebuilder to sell him a "B" block. Interesting place. The current owner stated off working for Mr. Schwalm and took it over when he retired. That's all they do is Flathead Ford V8 and back and they are the one to get it done by.

Cool truck as always.
That building looks like an old Gulf Station. |

There were well over 600 trucks, maybe 650 or more. I can't get then all, so I try to give a variety. This isn't a custom truck show. Although there are plenty of flashy nice trucks.

The first half or so were taken in early morning light on Saturday. The shutter was shuttin' slow for hand held. Sorry 'bout not so clear. That Studebaker is an RV.

Yep, that's an old Gulf station on a country road in Lancaster Co, PA. So that Fruit company is still rolling? I like when they restore and keep the same livery like that.
How about that Plymouth pickup? This Dodge with a sleeper is neat: |

I see some trucks every year. I usually pass on them for new truck pictures, but not always. I've shown this GMC before and I'm sure there will be no complaints. Same with the Peterbuilt. This little red flatbed was one of my favorites. That green Chevy is a camper and it's on a later 1t chassis

More great pictures. Good seeing that 9500 Long Nose again. May be one of these years he will paint it, lol. He might be going for that "patina" look, but I was never much of a fan.
I like the little Mack Dump as well. Looks to be about a '36 or '37. |

Great pictures as usual, I had forgotten my camera, and was able to take one to send to my family to show the truck made it. Here's our little campsite, my buddy's drive these old Dodge WC's from Bayside, Queens. Didn't get to meet any members, they weren't with their vehicles when I was looking at them. There's always next year, next show.

Oh ok, that was your truck! I regret never walking over there, now. My friend, Chuck, and I talked to your buddies last year on Friday night. Had a couple beers with them. So they've been into those a long time and are friends from way way back? The show passes so fast and this year on Friday we had people stopping by us so we never left the truck. Always great no matter what.
Here's a picture of me, Jimer64, and Rob71 being held hostage: Attachment 1663262 The trucks look better: Attachment 1663263 Attachment 1663265 Attachment 1663266 Attachment 1663267 Bill, He sure has the rest all polished up. The truck appears to be in great shape. I'd like to thik he's waiting to do a really nice paint job. Look close at that Peterbilt, that's his too. That's my favorite Mack Ac, the orange one. It wwas retrofitted with a 4-53 in the '40s |

The owner of this Mack L sleeper with www is a character. Serious about the old trucks. That green Peterbilt rig is one of my favorites. Known of that one a long time

This is Mel's Transtar from our chapter. He was the service manager at our local IH dealership many years, now retired. A good guy.
So many nice trucks it's stupid |

This Mack cabover was interesting. It was a prototype. I think this one was titled, can't recall. That top is unique, I think, and it had this emissions device type of whatchamacallit thingy. Look at that stack!
I'd like to have that C/20 |
