Exhaust question?

1 Attachment(s)
I plan on running 2.5" Duel exhaust into one 5" tip going through the body. Should I make the longer run a larger diameter? I'm thinking about it like fire hose friction loss. Longer run/ Less restriction. Not sure if both exhaust runs needs to be the same to balance the system? Or am I overthinking it?

Thanks,
William

Re: Exhaust question?

Over thinking it. Unlike liquid in a fire hose, exhaust gases change volume based on temp. As the gas leaves the engine it begins to cool and thus lose volume. In your case, it won't make a difference. 2.5 inch pipes are plenty big for one bank of any SB.
