Well I was thinking about a 4" lift with 33/12.50 on MT rims. I thought about doing a frame off but this truck is in pretty good shape so Im just doing the basics. My brother and I rebuilt the motor 60 over and edelbrock performer kit. This was the first engine I had ever done and found it to be a lot of fun.

Lookin' good!! What are you planning for the front grill? What year is it? Have you had to do anything to the interior?

JayDubBlazer 12-01-2003 08:02 AM

looks great, by the way you are going to have a bunch of people comment on your air cleaner.

Fourtrax 12-01-2003 09:46 AM

Well Blazin let me start out by saying I really like your truck!!!!! Ive been staring at all the pictures through the process of the rebuild and I think its really cool that a husband and wife team up on a project like that. Well done!!! As far as the grill Im really not sure, I like the stock grille but Ive been toying with the idea of a billett. Who knows maybe Bouncy truck will do some photoshop on there to show me what it might look like to have a billett grill. The truck is a 72 and so far all Ive done to the in terior is new carpet, I went with the plush instead of the loop. I might go back and do the same liner that you guys did to yours but for now Ill live with the extra noise.

Jazydub, Thanks for the comppliment. I know the aircleaner isnt the best but I was too excited to start the motor so I picked that up real quick.

Thanks for the compliments Fourtrax!! Here is a pic of a 72 with a billet- not as nice as yours, but you get the picture eh? Nice blazer!

Fourtrax 12-01-2003 02:11 PM

Well now im really stuck, what do you think? Factory or billett?

Mark70Z 12-01-2003 02:49 PM

IMO I like the factory grill; just an opinion though. Also, "if" you do switch wheels, I need a set of 15"X8" 6 lug rallies for mine...I'm in Jax. FL so pretty close to you.

By the way the Blazer looks really good (I personally like the factory air cleaner better...ha!).

How about interior pics???

Heres one. I somehow deleted the pasanger side.

1970blazin 12-01-2003 06:21 PM

Owwwwww! It has a tach! Cool! Is it pretty much original on the interior- rear seat and all? I would love a pic on how the rear seatbelts attach for the back seat- Thanks!!!
Diane

And a side view, note that the bolts on mine are under the vinal so im not sure if that is factory or not.

1970blazin 12-01-2003 08:38 PM

So those side bolts are how the seat belts attach on the sides, and they attach on the back brackets for the middle eh?? I think my 70 seat is different, but I am not sure if mine is right or not. I did a whole thread about this, but still didn't get a for sure answer...Thanks so much for the pics and nice seat!!;)

Fourtrax Saweet Blazer Man! Dude! Go with a Stock Grille Painted black with a nice bright blue bowtie in the middle...Classy IMO!!!

blazomatic 12-01-2003 10:19 PM

Good lookin' Blazer. I think I would stick with the stock grille. I want to put the later model mirrors on my Blazer. Do they fit good? And are they hard to mount/any modifications to get them to work?

bigbluthng 12-02-2003 12:33 AM

looks good. i have been looking for a billet grill with more slats, kinda like the newer chevys.

Fourtrax 12-02-2003 09:05 AM

Blazomatic, I dont think it was very hard to put these mirrors on, of course im not the one that did but by looking at them I cant see that it would be too hard. You should take into consideration that they dont conform to the body as well as they should but nothing major by any means. I like having bigger mirrors for sure.
