Fuel Tank Float

I found the problem with my gauge after all. It was the sending unit that I purchased from Classic parts of America. I ordered a new sending unit and couldn't get the sending unit to work. It bench tested good but in a tank of fuel it didn't work. The center screw would ground out against the frame of the sending unit. I called them and they sent me another which worked perfect. Ben from Classic parts called me back to tell me nothing is wrong. I said to test it with a full tank of fuel. He said they don't go bad and he tests them everyday. I said if you check them everyday then they must not be made well. Well they lost a customer. Anyways, its working fine now that its not grounding out. thanks to all who helped me.
