Chevrolet Factory Paint Colors
 

I am new to the board and am wondering if anyone knows where i can find info on chevrolet truck paint colors. 2 colors i am looking for is a copper color from 78 and a creme/light tan from 77, anyone have info on the correct color names?

If you have a car quest that deals in DuPont paint they have a book with the colors for each model year.

You are probably thinking of russet brown and either santafe tan or buckskin.

Additionally, the official names and color codes would also be listed in the info packets, which are stored in the GM Heritage Center Archives.

Go to this link and search on the model year you are interested in ('78 and '77 Chevy truck, in this case):

I found that the cream/tan color i was looking for is 2777 Neutral and the Copper/brown color is 2926 Russet Poly from http://www.tcpglobal.com/aclchip.asp...truck-pg01.jpg so thanks everyone for the info!!!!!:chevy:

This is an older thread but the cut off is 1978. I am trying to find factory colors for 1986.

The cutoff for what?

Go to the Heritage Center link - it will include 1986.

The same question, but different. I'm wanting to get factory touch up paint in a spray can. How/where would I go about to look for that?

Most auto paint stores will make up a can for you. Helps if you have the correct code. Some can also scan a chip of paint and come up with matching color.

Hmm? Not sure what is going on then. Must be something on my end. I will try it again.
