Great find. Before you blast you should look for the number on the tunnel in the engine compartment. interested in how close it is to mine.

Neat crew! I'm 99% sure I looked at that crew in Saratoga , Wy back in late 90's. The guy had that one and a bare 64-66 crew cab cab. Awesome rig!!!

jason spent the last couple evenings cutting and welding new metal into the drivers door jam. set the door to get good alignment between it and rocker.

I've been following your thread and absolutely love what you've been doing with your panel truck. I will be using the original Dodge wiring and dash like you did. I love how you did your instrument panel I will be doing something similar to that.

Thank you, I really appreciate it! I'll be following yours as well for sure. Sounds awesome, let me know if you need any extra info on what I've done. What are your plans for the frame, suspension, transmission and fuel tank? Just curious, likely facing similar challenges with the build.

I plan on using everything. The only thing that will be Chevy will be the sheet metal on top I plan on using the Dodge frame and shortening it five or four inches. I built one out of a regular cab truck probably 10 years ago I've got a thread on here somewhere I have to go find it I also have a thread on Cummins forum.

Anthony how did you make your panel flat for your instrument panel from that Dodge? The piece that goes in between the gauges and the plexiglass.

Hey Winslow,

To make the gauge cover flat, I cut each of the three circles out individually to a equal height
And then permentently fixed them to the back of the flat lexan once lined up correctly with the gauges to it let light through for the gauges but pressed against the signal and other indicator housing. I will have to take a couple of measurements for you when I get back to the house. Here is a photograph of the back side of the cluster. I think I will be coming up with a new seal for around the plastic housing in order to keep out the dust. May be a door seal or something.

I've been looking for a nice usable 62-66 chevy hood for quite some time now. couple weeks ago i was going to buy a new one, but they were out of them when i was there. I just got a text from my buddy jason that he found me a rust free hood that his boss (a fellow 60-66 chevy truck guy) donated to my project! Thank you boss!
