73-87 cab corner 6X9 speaker brackets - 2nd series
 

These speaker brackets are very similar to the ones I have sold on here in the past, but I made a couple changes (based off customer feedback).

The two changes made were centering the speaker opening, and putting a small radius on the exosed corners for a more "finished" look.

These will fit most 6x9 speakers, however, I found out the hard way they will not accomodate 6x9's with 4" diameter magnets. With that being said, I assume you could make them work with the use of a small spacer or slight modifying and repositioning of the speaker bracket itself. 6x9's with a 3 1/4" magnet fit absolutely perfect with no modifications needed. These are made of heavy 16 ga steel, will be delivered bare steel, so you'll need to paint to match your interior or exterior. Basic self-tapping sheet metal screws will be provided. I decided to use stainless steel button head screws and lock nuts when I mounted these in my '73, felt it matched my interior better.

Please study the below picture carefully to ensure these brackets will fit your truck. I believe some of the early 3-point belt trucks had the retractors mounted where the top of these brackets sit...and therefore will not work.

These will also fit 88-91 OBS crew cabs.

Price for a set of these will be $65 shipped to your door (lower 48 only). I feel this is very comparable to those carpeted 6x9 boxes or other fiberglass/plastic enclosures available...but look 10 times better and are quality made out of steel, just like the trucks they are going in.

If anyone waiting for a set wants mine I will sell you mine (Jeff is ok with it) they are brand new just the way I received them these are the first series and I paid 53.00 for them I would like to get that back out of them.

Bill, I am waiting for the shop to finish up the next batch. If you like, purchase the set Randy is trying to sell 2 post up. The only real difference is the speaker placement on the brackets...which was just for looks why it was changed.

I bought one of the early sets covered them in dark blue tweed and they look great, theses are a good deal!
