292 Performance parts

Does anyone know any good places where I can get good performance parts for a 292 Inline 6?

Re: 292 L-6 Performance parts

i'd start here, ive got the clifford headers on my 292
http://cliffordperformance.net/
http://www.inliners.org/
http://stoveboltengineco.com/
summit has some pistons and cams and comp cams has some cams too they may be 230/250 cams though they will work except for the fuel pump lobe wont line up, u will have to convert to electric pump i believe.

One ton,Depends on how far into the engine you're going.Intake, exhuast and HEI would be the first things.A book by Santucci will give you all the 6cyl speed arts you would want.Be prepared,6 cyl stuff is about 3-5 times as high priced as small block stuff.

Go to www.inliners.com, also google Langdons stovebolt he is the 292 guru ! 6cyl stuff is not that expensive at all you just need to look for it ! every time i open my hood i get a bunch of comments like WOW it's not a F@#king 350 I just smile, Remember if it was not for the Stovebolt 6 Chevrolet would not be around today ! long live the GM 6 cyl engines...:gmc2:

Tom at www.12bolt.com has a ton of stuff for the 292's he even has two different custom grinds from comp cams. Great gut to work with, competitive prices as well. I got a lot of my L6 stuff from him.

Re: 292 L-6 Performance parts

I got one of those inliners in my 64 C60 dumptruck. I was looking around on the web the other day and saw some stuff to make your 292 TBI injected. Add a turbo and a tbi with a cam and you would be suprised!!

I'm looking for a water pump two groove pulley for a 292, any help appreciated, thanks.
Here's a couple of pictures of my 292, it went in a car not a truck, but it's still a truck engine.

Hi, I thought I had located the wp pulley! It's the front end of a 1955 Chevy 150 4dr.
There's a 292 in YouTube painted black that looks great, glad you have good taste, take care, Tony.

This is my 250 but it would still look sweet with a setup like this on your 292
