Converting my C20 to a C10… 1970 c20, 383, 700r4… having trouble finding lower ball joints… threads are not long enough… wondering if the T at the end of the part number is the issue… any thoughts? 6117T is what i ordered today… 6117 without T is to short

Welcome. You wasted no time with the in-depth question. Yep, like RocknRod said you'll have better luck getting answers in the specific area of the forum pertaining to your truck.

I guess it depends on what you converted.

Per RockAuto, correct front lower for a 70 C10 with 350 is MOOG K6023. C20 with 350 is K7053T.

Per Summit Racing, what you bought is for a 75-86 C10.

Just saw your post.
I believe the k6117T is a correct 71-87 1/2-ton lower balljoint.
I actually have a pair.
The issue is they WON’T fit your c20 lower control arms.
The balljoint hole in the c20 arm is larger than the c10 version.
You’ll need to find a set of c10 lower control arms.
If you can’t find a set of K6117T balljoints I have a pair of brand new Moog balljoints I would sell.
$65 for the pair.

Tell me more about your project.
I assume you are using 71-72 spindles?
What about the steering linkage?
Did you change it also?
Everything has to match the spindles you are using.

Also look at the SUSPENSION section of the forum.
Lots of good info there.
