Beautiful. For the B-pillar drain, what's the best way to deal with that so paint turns out right and the drain is still functional?

I had to post those from my phone, sorry about them being sideways. The drain is on the lower edge of the half-cab where it meets the bed rail. Water gets in there around the top seal and it drains there on each side. I read an interesting thread here once about it, I'll see if I can find it. My truck was repainted a long time ago. I don't know if this rust is from the drain being painted shut or not. But you'll see a lot of K5's rust in this area.

For the record, if it's a garage-kept toy driven only when it's nice out, it'll probably never matter. I'm just curious about what painters do there or if many are even aware it's there.

BTW, I love seeing that you painted the entire tub. Can't wait to see the rest.

oh, I see, well I have owned 4 mid 80's blazers and have never seen that problem. But than again 55 years in hot sunny Arizona might be why. I think it's rained here 3 or 4 times in the last 55 years. LOL.

it's factory code 21 light met. blue 85,86,87 color.

The UH1-C . Static Display I had purchased it around 2007 because my Uncle of 30 years in the U.S.M.C. served as a aircraft mech in Vietnam.(3) - tours 1965 to 1973. He was Stationed at Chu Lai, Da Nang, Marble mtn. Vietnam.
I have it on display here in Apache Junction Az for all Veterans to see. We sponsor some reunions here for the actual units that Served / flew it.
a few are listed.
" The Razor backs."120th AHC / "The Black cats,"282nd AHC and " The Devils." 134th AHC, Kind of a healing process for all. It Helped my Uncle with his P.T.S.D. until his passing 2013 . It's kind of a Land mark in this area. Thx for asking.

I met with one of the actual pilots that flew this chopper in Vietnam and he restores the UH1 helicopters for a living. semi retired. he wants to trade an H-Model for my Gun ship and restore it to Flying condition.! so that's the plan.
thx,dave
