1971 C10 SWB -------- Short Wide Bed ----- $10k

Price reduced to $10k

Summary:
This is a cool 1971 short bed truck w/ loads of patina. Original short wide bed, not cut down, wearing its original scheme of red w/ white top. Paint is chipped and scratched in numerous spots, has a fair amount of rust where these trucks get it, is a bit rough, but is a cool driver. Powered with a mild 305 and TH350. Could still use some tinkering typical of a truck of this vintage, but overall ready to drive and enjoy. Original short beds are getting very expensive, this is one you can enjoy without breaking the bank for one thats completely restored.

I've also created a video walk around of the truck on youtube located here:
https://youtu.be/P5Db9cGpxx4

History:
This truck was originally sold to Pizza Haven, a well known Seattle/U-district based Pizza restaurant that used Chevy trucks for delivery. While I donít have a picture of this vintage of truck, I have attached an example from the 80ís. This also explains the partial repaint in rootbeer brown at one point in itís life. Protecto plate to Pizza Haven and original owners manual in hand.

As far as I know this truck has always been a Washington truck. I rescued it out of Gig Harbor where it had been parked due to a spun bearing.

Drivetrain & Suspension:
-Low mileage Goodwrench 305 1 piece rear main crate engine. Freshened with new gaskets, a lunati Voodoo 10120702LK mild cam w/ matching lifters and springs, aluminum intake, and edelbrock carb. Cylinder walls still show crosshatch and no ridge. Engine runs well.
-Dual exhaust with stock manifolds
-Turbo 350, shifts well. Some drips from transmission tailshaft and pan
-12 bolt rear, non posi
-Leaf spring rear with drop shackles
-All new shocks, New lower ball joints, and Belltech drop spindles
-Brand new staggered set of Cooper cobra tires 275 in rear, 255 up front.
-Just had an alignment
-Power Steering
-Manual brakes, discs in front

Interior:
-Mostly original interior that shows some patina, functional
-Original interior paint and rubber floormat
-Heater works, wipers work, interior lights work
-Speedometer cable not hooked up, cable seems too long for it to thread into back of speedometer?
-Missing driver side arm rest and window crank, splines stripped. Rolls up and down with vicegrips but will need window regulator replaced

Exterior and Body:
-Truck has been repainted in its original red and white top. Was painted previously a rootbeer brown for the Pizza Haven scheme
-Wearing an older single stage but has been buffed to shine very well. Body is full of chips, dings, scratches, touchups, mirror holes, etc. Not nice but has a cool shop truck patina to it. Looks great from 20 feet. I tried my best to photograph some of the condition issues to give you an idea but it looks better in the photos.
-Has rust in rockers, front fenders, and doors. Driver side rocker is in the worst shape, missing in parts. To be perfect would need inner and outer rockers, rocker boxes, some minor floor repair, cab corners, fender patches, new doors, and a patch in the bed. Cowl is in great shape as are roof gutters and window channels
-Working turn signals, headlights, and marker lamps

Price Reduced to $10k
Thanks for your interest

Don't let the rockers and doors scare you, this is still a solid truck!

To top. Also fixed the idle stumble, changed the oil, cleaned/oiled the air filter, and put a matching top plate on it.
