NOS 4K diesel tach

3 Attachment(s)
Decided to go in a different direction with my Diesel crewcab conversion so I am offering up this NOS 4K mechanical tachometer, Even though it is NOS it is not quite pristine, the tach face looks to have been pushed upon resulting in a couple of minor divits around the screws.
$140.00 shipped

I do.. But you would have to want it real bad as I had a lens custom built for the 4k tach and it is now installed a fully restored tach/vac/speedwarning dash cluster. I may entertain selling the entire cluster for the right price.

Re: NOS 4K diesel tach

Mark, that is nice!
On a side note about vacuum and diesels, i have a gas gauge that has a "low vacuum" idiot light on it. (came out of a diesel cluster)

I would take $800 (yes that's alot of $$ but if you take into consideration what a speed warning is worth and how rare the diesel tach is)
I used a vac gauge for the 2spd vac shifted rear axle.

didnt even notice the speedwarning..that is a good price for the rarity and all. I'll have to pass. What did you do about the lens? They do not make any repop ones from what I see.

Thanks Classic haha, let me rephrase that - who did you get to do the custom lens? If you don't mind me asking.

Re: NOS 4K diesel tach

I bought a reproduction tach/vac lens and shipped it out along with an original 4k tach lens that was broken in half to Redline Clock and Gauge repair to have them polish off the 5k lettering and screen on the 4k..

Re: NOS 4K diesel tach

Lens turned out nice to. He had one made for me as well. There is alot of time and $ that go into putting something like this together and $800.00 may sound like alot but will not scratch the surface once the time and effort that it takes to put one of these together is considered. Not to mention the speed warning. Nice dash Mark.
