Factory AC installations
 

On the 1967-1972 Suburbans factory AC systems (not dealer installed) when did they start installing AC vents in the dash? I thought it was 1971 and prior years only had roof mounted units in the rear?

Not an "authority"...but having a '72 with factory rear only air and my father-in-law having a '71 (back in the day) with the full A/C tunnel from front to back, I believe '72 was the first model year with the three A/C dash vents.

I’ve seen them as early as 68 w/factory in dash a/c. Not very common but have seen a few through the years.

'72 was the change to front and rear

I don't think there was a front only unless it was dealer installed
