is it common for these tires to lose nobs off of the tread even if it`s still at about 1/2 to 1/3 tread left???
i bought a set and one is bad...anyone have one
33-12.5 15 in.for sale???????

I've been running the same thornbirds for 7 years. Haven't had any problems with chunks coming off of them. They're starting to whine a little more, but that's just because they've only got about 1/4 tread left.

I have heard about a few people having problems with them. I believe that there was a discussion on CK5 about the problem.

I seem to remember hearing something about that, as well...

BUT, we went 4X4ing with a guy, a couple weeks ago, who has them, and uses them HARD (rock crawling -- truck looks like a wrinkled up prune) and his tires looked OK.

They worked ALOT better than I would have expected, also...

maybe the older ones had a problem, that thye've since taken care of...

I'd check to see if there was a bad batch. The dealer who sold them to you should know about any recalls/warrenty replacement. Ya don't want your truck to roll over like a Ford Exploder!
