Yeah,

I was hoping to start a specific thread like the one in the other sub-forums. I just got a 99 2DR 2WD. I guess there is not that many members in the 88-98 sub forum. (I havent looked up numbers)

Or can it be that these are really that rare?????:lol:

OK I will start with the first pic. 99 2wd 2dr. I picked this up in December for 2500 with a blown motor. Reman motor has been put in. It has been lowered 2 in the front and about 3 in the back. I have a flip kit and 2 in springs for the front that will be going in in the next couple of weeks. 285/50-20 in the rear 275/45-20 in the front. New tire and wheel combo will come when its dropped. Not sure what to go with at this time. Want to get rid of the roof rack but not sure what to do with the buttons underneath.

These are pretty rare. I looked for a while before I found one that was 2wd.

I will add more pics after its dropped.

I think there are two things that have an effect on what you asked to see. One is the simple rarity of this 2-dr/2WD combo. The other is simply that this website started life with a 67-72 focus, and the 88-98's are an add-on to the site. Doesn't mean it isn't a great forum, it is just one of those sweet little tidbits of internet-dom that we need to talk up.

Another thing that makes it even more rare is that in '98 and '99, the 2 door fullsize SUVs were only built with bowties on them. '97 was the last year for the 2 door Yukon in both 2wd and 4wd.

There is like 3 or 4 on the general 88-98 picture tread. But I think any one who is into the 2DR 2WD Tahoe/Yukon knows about this website

haha thanks. and btw I just shaved my roof rack and put shorter bolts back in the holes. they arent that noticeable but they work for the time being.

Thanks. it will be looking a little differnt soon hopefully....Ive decided the cowl hood I bought for the truck is going on the 2dr and if the 20's i ordered every show up Im going to put them on the 2dr for the summer.

Sorry to derail but,Hey JB1016 your truck isnt floating down the river is it... Ill watch on my end of the Cumberland....I keep seeing where Nashville got hit pretty hard Im less than an hour away and this is defintely the most water Ive ever seen around here. If its been torn up let me know I dont mind helping a fellow truck enthusiast out.

I would figure the Safaris had the same style caps too, so there should be some GMCs out there.

Edit: Found one. This one's a Safari. You can see the GMC on the caps.

The chevy ones look better....IMO. but if I had them on my GMC again I would probably get some GMC caps. I would like to see the astro/safari wheels on a obs. I bet they would look good.

Here's the last build I did, owned it from July 03' to Sept 08'
it's a 97' GMC Yukon, BELLTECH 5/6 drop, borla exhaust, 20' Boss 304's!
I do plan on getting it back!

3" drop was done with shackles and removing the helper sping. I just lowered the front 2 inches tonight (total of 4") and the flip kit will go on this weekend. I will post more pics when done.

changed it up a little since i got it, added new front grill, headlights,blinkers,side markers, tail ilghts, sub enclosure, k&n charger system etc.

LOL, I originally bought them to put them on 73 K5 until i got some cheapo 20s for it. When i got this one it had some Eagle Alloys Series 149 that had a negative offset so the stuck out like they used to do back in the early 90s. So you know i could not drive around for long on those having these just sitting around.

There's a pickup running around town here with them. The poor truck is beat all to hell and looks rather un-cared for, but it has the Limited wheels. Such a shame. I deserve those wheels more. I've always wondered if the plastic centercaps from the SS-style wheels would work with the Limited wheels.

Do you mean the center caps that came with these wheels from the factory?...

Now that i think about it, I think they would look better than the bulky limited center caps. If i find some for a decent price before i get some 22s i will pick them up so i can take a pick for ya

Got me another one! Sold the green one and got me a 1 owner bone stock 98 in flawless condition! Lowered it over the weekend and put on my 22" intros. AAAAH! Now thats better!
