Re: drip rail repair help!
Do you have a welder? Looks like you're going to need one.

Re: drip rail repair help!
Your going to have to fab up your own patch and weld it in..

Re: drip rail repair help!
Yep, no quick fix for this. Its very common on our trucks and odds are you also have unseen damage too. If your not a bodyman or sheetmetal mechanic you should save your money and hire someone experienced to repair it. Most of us have been through the same thing, any halfarse repairs will just make it worse.

Re: drip rail repair help!
Since you are here in OC, I would just get another rust free cab. They are a dime-a-dozen at the pick n pulls here.

Re: drip rail repair help!
your gonna have to cut out the offending portion of rust, make a patch to weld in the spot, then grind down the weld before you put in the new driprail. I have one just like it to do. If you can cut out the panel all inone piece so you canuse the cutout for a template to trace the new patch on. If you are unable to do it in one piece cut it all out to good metal then start cutting a cardboard or cardstock piece to make the template out of. Cut that a little big so that you cangrind to fit then weld away. Good luck Jim
