This one was on my brother inlaws 63 shortbed 4x4 now it just sitting there. I thought about putting it on my 64 shortbed gmc.

Incredible find! Needless to say, the "time capsule" class of vehicle is what most intrigues me today. These are the types of vehicles I was on the hunt for 30 years ago before sellers used NADA books, but most owners did not want to sell back then, and rarely were this type of vehicle on a used car lots. Oh yeah, I've know of that one for the few years that it's been on Hemmings. I talked to the owner and he wants a small fortune. It is a real time capsule, though. Super original and nice.

Palomino Tan is such a gross color that it's really growing on me lately. Also very odd to see a winch on a 2WD truck, eh? Not sure why they weren't more popular. Probably would've been handy if you're going off pavement at all.

This is what a lot of 3/4 tons did back in the day. Todays tell tale items to look for: hooks on bed, large west coast mirrors, extendable rear bumper and extra gas tanks.

some very nice pics of campers !! thanks guys BUT does anybody know of and chassis mount campers for sale ? prefer a 64-66 chevy ? close to iowa , BUT WOULD TRAVEL FOR RIGHT TRUCK ?? i bought a nice chassis mount camper a few yrs ago,but the roof was a leaker /and everything downward was junk ,so i am making a crew cab out of it and building a 18 ft. hodges type car hauler on it ! probably install a vortec motor and late overdrive trans and late rear axle,with some better ratios .try to post some pics soon ! thanks guys

I've been seeing this one on CL for quite a while, I think it sas low as $3500 with a bad transmission, but looks like it's been fixed... Wish I had the cash!
