69 BB Fan shroud alignment issues

Has anybody has issues with alignment of fan shroud ? My fan sits too low so I cannot install the shroud. Fit before motor was rebuilt and new engine mounts were installed. Maybe crappy mounts ? Anybody with BB expierience run into this ??

I replaced the radiator and mount cushions on my BB C20 at the same time and found the rad and shroud sat too high(fan low). I though the radiator was the wrong size but it matched the original. I needed to cut down the rubber cushions to match the OEM thickness to make the rad and shroud fit.
