speedo.no worky!
 
1.)checked the cable,it's good no cracks, splits in casing cable,is lubed properly too. 2.) checked the plastic gear at cable housing in tranny,it's good also.no coreing on gear.also on the input shaft end,the other plastic gear,good-no coreing on it either.3.)replaced speedo. w/an older one i had laying 'round. what the heck am i missin'? maybe i've just had 2 bad speedo's? the one i've got in her now jumps from 0-20 when i'm going 40-50 mph.

Sounds to me like the cable is binding somewhere. Check to see if the turns in the cable are free flowing, or if they are tight and extream.

When this happens, I usually just pull the dash and take the truck around the block to see if the cable end spins. It's always been the cable being bad. It might be snapped off internally and not visible
