No Spin tag/sticker
Does anybody make a repop sticker of the early 60's NoSpin tag? I'm looking for an early 'pre zip code' style, the one with a picture of the unit on it. Been looking for an original aluminum tag, but would settle for a repo sticker. Saw some old posts of ones being made, but nothing recent. Any leads would be very much appreciated.
Thanks, Tom |
Re: No Spin tag/sticker
is this similar to what your looking for?....https://www.macsautoparts.com/ford_m...-box-ford.html
if your really set on a certain style you can have them made by a print shop if you have a picture and some measurements....I just had some repop and custom decals made for my project truck...not cheap but what can you do.... |

Re: No Spin tag/sticker
If there is enough demand and a good pic to go off of I can print chrome and get real close. Would need to know the correct size.

Re: No Spin tag/sticker
Thanks for all the reply's. What I really want is exactly what Jay posted ( and for a bit less than $185-wow!). The sticker that Mongo posted would be a great second choice though. Jimmy, any chance you could make something like that? Unfortunately I don't have one for a pattern, because if I did we wouldn't be having this talk. If you figured out a way I bet you could sell a lot of them
(sign me up for the first two) Thanks to all, Tom |

Re: No Spin tag/sticker
Since I'm assuming neither Jay or Joedoh want to part with their original tags (Heck I'd give Joe 10% of what he paid for his truck just for the tag) I'm wondering if one of you guys that are lucky enough to have an original would consider sending Jimmy a picture /measurements or whatever he needs to make a run of repos?
Looks like from what Mongo and Rock posted, the muscle car guys have them available. I bet a lot of our members would like to be able to buy the correct pre-zip KS-10 tags for our era trucks. What do you guys think, any takers ? Thanks, Tom |
Re: No Spin tag/sticker
One with no KS-10 or anything on it NOS from estate sale - https://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-De...sAAOSwFnxaW-hj

Any chance you would consider a run of these Jimmy? Anybody else out there looking for the same thing? Thanks, Tom |
Re: No Spin tag/sticker
The “Warning Sticker” style may vary by model year? Have only previously seen the variety Greg posted above. Seen them in two location in cabs, above the windshield and behind the seat. Have not corolated loction to model year.
Jimmy, may be able to send you one. Les |

Re: No Spin tag/sticker
I should be able to get real close to the one Greg posted with printing them. The metal tag really would need to be screen printed and that would get costly. The metal tags were probably pad printed originally. The red and white one I do now is listed most places as 63 to 70 C10's so I assume it is a 12 bolt decal. So on these other ones what year and what rear end are they being used with? The metal tag is on what looks to be a 63 with an Eaton rear. What info have you guys got on the chrome looking decal?

It appears that the factory always put the tag or sticker behind the seat, but if the locker was dealer or aftermarket installed, then it went wherever they felt like putting it. KS-10 was the model number that fit the Eaton 3/4 or 1 tons up until the early 70's. GM's with the Dana rear should have had a different number. NoSpins were not offered on K trucks (at least not in 60-66) but could be installed by the dealer. All of the above is just what I have been able to find. If anybody out there knows different, please correct me. Jimmy, I know you do not do metal tags, and the one with a Zip code would be correct for my 65, but I have always liked the early 'Detroit 13' tag like Jay shows, so would love to have a sticker made up in that style. Any way you would consider a run like that? Thanks to all, Tom |
