This is the gun that comes with the kit. I belive it's called a schutz gun. I bought the kit on Amazon, it drop ships from TCP Global, they have the best price.

That looks great.

Any idea of how it compares on noise and heat compared to a dynomat type product and insulation? I’m assuming you are using insulation with this.

Yes, I will be using a butyl rubber product, but not 100% coverage. Just placing it on inside firewall an trans tunnel, part of the floor, and back wall. Then I will use some type of insulation. The doors have sound deadening and new weather stripping also. The product description says that it is a sound deadening product as well as bed liner, so we will see. I'm sure this along with butyl, and insulation will work to help minimize noise and heat good enough.

I had RhinoLiner sprayed on the floor of my 76 C20 cab and in the bed. It did not stop any heat generated from the transmission tunnel. I had to cover the tunnel with some pad and carpet. It was scorching hot. The truck was a 350/350.

Yeah, for heat Raptor alone will not be enough. Good insulation is what I'm looking for now.

I got some stick on foil backed urethane insulation from Ebay and it seems to help a lot with both sound and heat. It is not cheap, but it is way less than the high priced options. I used 3/8" on the firewall, kick panels, floor, and rear wall. I might go with a thinner insulation on the roof. It is super sticky so you have to be very careful about installing it.

First let me say liner looks phenomenal. How did it shoot out of the gun? Any tips or tricks you learned? Great job.

I used Vibro in my V30 on the firewall and doors when I installed the Vintage Air system and have been really happy with it (especially in Texas summers and a 454 running inside the engine compartment). When I pull the interior, I will do the whole cab with it.

Good luck and keep the pictures coming when you insulated it.

Thank you ! I am installing a Vintage Air system also, and new hinges and Wam Rods, along with freshly upholstered seat, dash, lower door panels. Also have to dye all interior components. I will most likely go with Vibro also. Oh, and Dakota digital, and new seatbelts.

That's quite an agenda! Over the past year I installed a Vintage Air system, Dakota Digital dash, sound deadening, and foil backed jute insulation in the cab, firewall and doors. You won't be disappointed. It's super quite, doesn't rattle or squeak and heats/cools the truck quickly. Here in Arizona, summer temps stay in the 110-115 range during the summer. It made a huge difference tinting the windows with QUALITY tint. I used the ceramic 80% stuff. Not only does it block the heat, it darkens the inside which make the digital dash look as good as it functions. The PO did a frame off resto and LineX'd the bed and cab. So between the LineX, butyl rubber sound deadening, jute insulation and rubber mat it's great, just time consuming to do it right.

Yeah, it's tough to do working 6 days a week plus O/T but the show must go on. How are you liking the DD gauge setup ? easy to install ? This all started as a recover seat/dash install but progressed quickly into what is happening now, but I enjoy it, soooo there you go. Just installing butyl and new weather stripping on the doors makes big difference in the way the doors close and sound, so time well spent. The VA systems are great in this Texas heat. I installed one in my 87 a couple yrs back and love it.

Looks great. I've used raptor liner on several vehicles and works great. I've always used dynomat for sound deadener and seems to work great for heat resistance also.

Thanks ! Pulled the engine Christmas eve morning sending it out for rebuild w/ a mild cam, so I shot Raptor on the firewall this morning.
