I remember seeing the picture of all your kids sitting in the cab a few years back, they'll have some great memories of this for sure.Glad to see you got it all done, and I must say it turned out to be one of my favorites.

Yea they will. My son already want the keys...... Thank you for the kind words. I still have a bunch of things I want to change but I can't get enough drive time:lol:

Just read through the whole build. Funny reading comments from some and the realizing the time period and that their builds are done.
What did you eventually run for suspension? I am loving the stance!

I don't pay to much attention to negative comments unless they are constructive. It took almost 2 years to get the truck the way it is now and there is still a lot left to complete. My truck is far from a high end show truck but I built it to drive and have fun with.

I am running porterbuilt control arms with drop spindles with complete ridetech Pro E3. The rear is Porterbuilt trailing arms, rear cross member with panhard bar. Thanks for looking and I appreciate the positive feedback!

UPDATE TIME.......

Well my 283 did well for a little while..... Now on to bigger and better!

New ZZ4 crate motor with new LT4 Hot Cam and 1.6 rockers. Looks like a :burnout: is in my future. I know :wop: so I will try to post some of the engine tonight.

I am using a trusted friend and mechanic to install so I do not have warranty issues.

Let me know if any one has any comments about the LT4 hot cam, it is not much over the zz4 but a little more lope and just barely an increase in HP / Torque. I wanted a small cam due to my power brake setup and small torque converter. I may upgrade the heads in the future but for now I should see 100HP more than I had so I can't wait!

Awesome! I predict a new pair of back tires in your near future.

Killer build. Very impressive build. Im glad you too the step to do the body work (welding on the firewall) yourself. I love the paint scheme and the extra steps youve taken to make it your own... keep it up!

At the price I paid 2 years ago.... Man I got to cut that out! Who am I kidding we all know that's way to fun to ever stop. I better start saving my penny's for the new set!

Thank you very much. I really want another project like this one to learn more of the metal and body work side. Reading about the craftsman ship and passion that everyone puts into these projects is what makes this board so awesome and I appreciate your comments.
