Front coil springs

Does any one have a good way to install them. The last time I did one it was a real pain to get it seated right, and the spring compressors just dont work real good.

I have never used spring compressors to install mine. Just alligned the top and then use floor jack on lower arm to press it into place. the spring does shift at first, but I could rotate it to get it into the seat, then finish jacking the a-arm. and it stays in place.

My 69 went easy, my 76 went easy, this 98 is a P.I.T.B.

I have done mine with Bill's method. If you go slow, they will seat themselves when they get close.

I too have always used the floor jack on a arm method. Be careful, don't be where it would come flying out if something goes wrong.
