Does anyone have or know where i can get the bed floor cross sill that runs at the back of the rear wheel tubs and is recessed where it mounts to the frame.

Thanks

The last blazer I just list all the cross sills appear to be in good condition I can check it out and get pictures if so. Let me know if that's something you would be interested in.

That part is not available for the Blazer. I purchased one to fit the pickup and modified it. Worked perfect !

hemi43 how much did you have to cut out of the truck cross sill to make it work on a 2wd blazer. Thanks for info

I can't remember, all I know is that it will work. Here's the only pictures I could find.

I've had this piece laying around forever, guess it served a purpose. I did the shttps://farm5.staticflickr.com/4750/...43a4267a_c.jpg[url=https://flic.kr/p/FexDg9]20180110_194838ame thing Hemi did, so I guess I cut off each end about 11"

Hemi43, what did you use to finish the undercoat? I am debating between an epoxy primer, POR15, or open to suggestions. I have little to no surface rust.

You could always get one bent up at your local sheet metal working place.

Don't use POR15 !! Great product over rusted steel, but that's about it. Some say they've had luck over sandblasted new steel, but I still wont use it. I used it once years ago on a Camaro trunk floor pan I installed, and I had major adhesion problems. The other issue is where it did stick, we couldn't get it off.

Over bare metal I only use epoxy. The underside of my truck was sanblasted, sprayed with epoxy, then top coated with a satin urethane black from KBS coatings. This was a real nice product to use, and is very durable. The top coat is sprayed wet on wet so there's perfect adhesion between the two products and no sanding in between.

HVAC
I have a mint 71' floor hanging here on the wall. If the cross member you are talking about, is the one I have white arrow on, there is no recess in it where it bolts to the frame. The only one that recesses is the tall one in front of the tubs. The one I have arrowed is just a hat section 1" mounting lip x 1" tall x 1.625" across and 71.75" wide. If you need any other measurements let me know.

Richard
