Fuel Pump Info

Can anybody here tell me if a fuel pump from a Vortec engine equipped truck or say a TPI Camaro will work in my 88K5?
I am getting ready to install my 350 Ramjet in my truck & I am gonna need a lot more fuel psi than the stock pump delivers.
My MEFI manual says that any Multi Port GM or Vortec Fuel pump will provide the 40-45 psi needed.
I may have to Piggy Back another pump inline with the stock one to make it work.
Thanks

Re: Fuel Pump Info

When I converted my 77 to Sniper EFI I used an '89 K5 sending unit from rock auto (Spectra part #FG12L). To that I added Walbro fuel pump part #GCA758-2 from Summit. Wiring pigtails matched up perfect. No splice required as is implied by the product description photo on summit.
Spectra SP1151 may suit your requirements also.

OK you're right, I already have a pump / sender for the TBI engine, this pump may pop right in there & work perfect! The truck hasn't been started since I went to Afghanistan in Feb '06 just sitting up in the barn waiting so I spect the tank needs to come out & get cleaned anyway!
Thanks!

Hey mickeykreg what did you do for a fuel filter? i doubt that the stock TBI filter handles 45 PSI or will it?
Thanks!

Sorry about the delay. I used summit part number SUM-230131 in line.

OK thanks.
RockAuto shows the same filter for both the TBI K5 & the TPI Camaro.
