1972 Suburban air bags front project

Started this last week. Ordered new ball joints top and bottom. Have the cool ride front kit from air ride tech. Thinking of getting drop spindles now so I don't have to remove spindles later. Has any one used the air bags with the drop spindles? I'm getting the 2.5 inch drop. Brand recommendation?
Thanks

Having problem uploading pics. Will try later.

A little rust on the passenger side floor turned into inner and outer rocker, part of floor, toe kick and the part that goes below the bottom door hinge. Lots of fitting, but fun to MIG weld.

Hey Daveiaff,

I'm also starting on '72 Burb. Considering using Accuair Stage 2 e-level kit, color ride front
and rear and cool ride shocks. My biggest obstacle is notching the frame. Do you have any thoughts on this? Is it worth the hassle? Thanks.

Re: 1972 Suburban air bags front project

When the rear bags are down on mine the axle is touching the frame. I'm going to notch the frame myself with some pipe and plate. I've repaired rusted frames in the past, so I have experience with stick and mig welding. There are bolt in kits out there, but I'm going for a cleaner look. As mine sits now it is level. When I get the drop spindles, I'll match the C in rear frame to match, I just have to make sure there is some drop left in the air bags. I don't want to go with a larger c, the wood floor is in great shape and I don't want to disturb it. Also the fuel lines run down the passenger side of the inner frame on a burb , so that is another step that wouldn't apply to a truck c notch

Dave, to get a little lower you should cut out the cup on the lower control arm.

On bags all 4 corners. Drop spindles are in, just have to install. Photo in above post is one that I found 2 hours away. Picked up today.

Looks good. Nice find on the parts Burb. Is it too rough for someone to save?
