How do I know If my Frame is Twisted or Bent??

I took the bed off my lwb and I am planning on cutting the frame and making it into a nice short box truck... but after looking at the back two supports connecting the frame rails together they do not measure square..? is this correct? it just doesn't seem right..
does anyone know a good and accurate way to check if a '67 frame is straight?

If there's no obstructions, you can measure the frame in an X-pattern...ie: Left front to Right rear, and Right front to Left rear. Measure at same points and see if there's any difference.

The 2nd crossmember in by the hard bar mount it mounted at an angle, this may be throwing you off .

It is normal for the support to be at an angle.

There is a ton of information shared on this site. It would help if members would read what others have posted. Maybe you could answer your question before posting it.

If you have not purchased a "Factory Assembly Manual" and a "Factory Shop Manual", I strongly advise you to do so.

This comment is not directed at smokenbarrels. As posted by FarmTruk and Slammed66, measure your frame diagonally. The 2nd from rear is mounted "non-square" and plays tricks on your eyes. You should not have a problem when you shorten your frame if you take care and double check and triple check your measurments before you cut.

Here are some typical frame specs to use to see if it is twisted.
