Heater motor replacements

Posted a thread a while back about using my old deluxe heater. There are two Delco motors in this unit 47535 and 47531 are the numbers on the backs of the motors following the DELCO Appliance info

Anyone know a cross reference source?

you could try a shop that works on school busses, coaches and highway truck heaters and a/c units. their motors look a lot the same. take the old parts with you and they can maybe match something up.

Re: Heater motor replacements

Looked at Napa and another web sight for blower motors. My deluxe heater (47) had two motors in it, One blows down in to the cab and the other blows up to defrost through a "y"

THe defrost motor uses a squirrel cage fan and the down draft uses typical fan blade. I found a motor that was available at Auto Zone for 59.00. Part# 35595 that worked in both positions. Had to shorten the mounting studs on the squirrel fan motor but is 12V and can go clockwise or counter depending on how you wire it. Since autozone, it has lifetime warranty

Used some charcoal hammer tone paint on it. Looks really cool. Glad I stayed with it. The two motors and the new core cost me about 260 but is unique and much better than the universal heaters
