Tina, A patina 69 burb project

Started a post about this burb over in the message board when I first purchased it a couple of months ago but thought I would start another here as I have begun working onit now. Purchased my Air ride system, dropped spindles, disc brakes,c-notch,ridetech tubular lower control arms and track bar from way2low2 about 3 weeks ago and have been working on it as I have time.I plan on keeping the patina look and fix the major rust areas eventually and restore the interior. I have fired the engine but gas poured out aroud the carburetor,so I had a friend rebuild it and plan on trying to start it when I set it back on the ground (literally). Hope the engine runs good but if it doesn't I will put a vortec or LS in it.I picked up some of my patch panels at the charlotte auto fair along with some other stuff and I have picked up some 15x6 steelies for the front and some 15x8 6 lug for the rear,as I still have to pull the axles to have them welded up and redrilled to 5 lug.

Thanks Guys. Lolife I'm going to try and use the tire sizes you have on your truck. I plan on buying some billet specialties 20"& 22" in the future unless I really like the steelies with the dog dish caps. I gotta get tires this week so I can get it back on the ground.

Couldn't stand it any longer, had to put it on the ground. Ordered the rear tires today and am still waiting on the panhard bar, proportioning valve, and have to pick up some rear shocks. Anyone have a reccomendation for the shocks?

Finally got my brakes wrapped up tonight, hopefully. Now waiting on a radiator because a socket and ratchet fell between the grille and radiator and knocked a hole in it.

I was able to take the Burb to the Grand Rod run in Pigeon Forge and enjoy it a little before bringing her home and pulling her apart to send over to my buddy's to have all of the major rot cut out and replaced. My intentions are to leave as much of the original patina as possible and re-create it where panels had to be worked. It will be my first attempt at this so any pointers will be appreciated.I also picked up a 5.3 engine for it and will be addind that to my list of things to do after doing the body and paint work.I have purchased Trailblazer SS manifolds,a Boyd EFI tank and ECE mounts for the conversion so far.I also found a good radiator support, new inner fender wells and an aux. battery tray to move the battery to the drivers side.Sorry for the long delay on updates but I've been busy with work, researching info for the engine swap, life etc.I'm sure everyone knows how it goes. Also been watching everyone elses awesome builds on here and trying to retain some of the knowledge you share,Thanks by the way. Ok enough of the chatter I will share some pics now.
