It's a 1970 C20 with original 350. Sorry if I got on the wrong thread. I'm new!

Got my radio hole angled edge removed, cleaned up back and front and a patch made. Though that patch still needs some fine tuning to get it butted in there but didn't want to be grinding out there being the neighbors have already started their 4th festivities out back. Anyway, off to the celebrations! And I will be celebrating another step on the truck on it's way.

How did you get that radio delete piece bent at the same angle as the dash? I have tried to make smooth bends like that and have failed miserably.

I went walking around looking for something that was round in the right size and ended up on an engine stand in the back yard. LOL I used an auto body spoon to bend it into shape over that pipe on the engine stand.

I am not kidding when I get this cab in primer I am going to have a friggin party! OMG the work, I was telling my wife the rest of the truck will be like eating an ice cream cone compared to the work I have done on the cab. Tonight I started cleaning up the rust on the inside of the top of the cowl and the back of the dash. WOW, OMG  this sucks!

But I will get it done over the next few days and get it in primer.

I am not kidding you, I am going to have a friggin party!

Understood, sometimes it’s seems never ending with little details. You will be happy you did it correct the first time and took no shortcuts. Keep up the good work.

What are you using for primer?

SPI and believe me, I have taken a number of short cuts, just not real big short cuts. I have to get this thing done!

Given my more recent influence to spend 5 minutes a day on this truck, here is my 5 minutes today.

O, and it cranks. Yea.

I agree Brian. Young guys can take forever to build a car; old guys, not so much. The older you get, the less time ahead to squander on perfectionism. I see far too many old guys die with uncompleted projects.

And more energy! When I think of the hours I put in out in the garage, working until 1 in the morning!

Nope, I want to drive this sucker and I don't have that energy!

OH MY GOD I can't wait until the inside of this cab is in primer! I worked on the neighbors fence again, then got out to my garage for five minutes and couldn't stop. I ended up wire wheeling the firewall and floor and getting the back of the dash and under the cowl just about as good as I can until sand blasting. MG this is hard work.
I have some other stuff (my daughters car's brakes, My Ramblers lower control arm bushings) I have to get done too so I am not sure but I hope I can get that cab out and sand blast in there finishing it.

Yup, maybe some greasy hand print's on the wall would help.

Most of my garage is in a storage container in my driveway. As soon as the truck goes to the paint shop (any day) I'm going to finish mudding and taping the drywall and give it a coat of paint. Then all of my signs and car art will go back on the wall.

I also adjusted the doors and swapped out the sway bar links for a longer set.

I said this years ago, you can quote me on it. LOL

"If you go to work on something away from your tool box and you bring every single tool you own but one, a windshield wiper adjusting tool for a 1948 Rolls-Royce, THAT is the tool you will need."

that's the truth brian! the Reason I bought this truck was for the front bumper brackets and I didn't take my large sockets to get them of.

Working on a front brake upgrade today. Stop Tech drilled and slotted rotors. Baer pads, Timken seals and bearings, all new hardware. I removed the dust shields for better air flow...
