67 GMC Camper cruiser????

Does anyone have any dealer literature on one of these or heard of one. There was one on ebay thats ended in Kentucky I'm looking at.
67 gmc 3/4 4 speed V6, buddy buckets. NO title though:(
It has Camper Cruiser emblems on the front fender, right where the side marker would be on a 68-72 truck. I'm just curious about the Camper Cruiser part of it. Thanks for any help, Randy

`67-only camper package.I think they all had 351s.A little more upscale or "sporty" than the later package.I know the one you`re talking about. That looks like a solid/complete original. Here`s a nice picture:

Basically the same as a Chevy Custom Camper. They were available with any G.M.C. pickup engine in '67 (250, 292, 305 V-6, 351 V-6) but most of the ones I have seen had the 351, The Camper Cruiser is mentioned in the '67 light duty pickup brochure, and G.M.C. issued a 'Pleasure Trucks' brochure that covered all the RV's.

Camper Cruiser? Hopefully prettier than than this one...note the "custom" emblem just in front of the door...
This is a tow rig for a local race team and though it should be in the ugly truck contest, has never failed to do anything asked of it...began as a swap for a $15 auction Chevette...Sounds awesome and is a blast to drive (for a 40 Y.O. beater!)
.
Morphed many times...rugged 'ol GMC's! ... ya' Gotta' lov'um

The CustomCamper package required a 350 or BBC since`69.Not sure about 67 or 68,but I think the upgrade engines were required.
Here`s another:

Nice photos. Those wheels on the custom crusiers are very hard to find. They are 16.5" one piece wheels with clips for the older style hubcaps.

They are tough.I bought two because someone else had the other two. Then, those didn`t come through.I still want to contact the guy to see if he has them. The problem was shipping and we were trying to find them a ride.To find them with good clips is the hardest part.

A common set up for camper hauling pickups was to remove the stock rear rims and tires and replace them with a set of "duplex" wide rims and 10X16.5" tires. They carried more weight and were more stable with top heavy loads. This is a '65 3/4 ton GMC.

factorystock, Where did you come up with the term "duplex"? I am curious since I have two "Firestone Duplex" (stamped into the wheel rim) wheels 9.75x16.5 and am looking for two more identical wheels. Mine have 4.5" back spacing and most I have seen have 5" or more. Hopefully I will find another two some day. The wheels in your picture look to be larger back spacing 5+ just from the looks of the hubcap location. Nice looking truck!

Stllookn,Are yours Clip or nub type?I have a pair of nubs off a`72 C/30 I had. They are definately the wider offset than the others I have.I was running them with two other 9.75s before I got two more matching wheels.I`d sell them, but I am 3,000 miles away and these are HEAVY,as you know.

Re: 67 GMC Camper cruiser????

These wheels orginally came out around 1964 as an aftermarket accessory. There were made by both Firestone and Goodyear. They were referred to as "Duplex" wheels by the manufacturer because these wheels had the effect of replacing dual wheels with one wheel. This wheel is 9 1/2" wide, approx 4" front side to lug hole and approx. 5 1/2" back side to lug hole.
