89 suburban 350 tbi cranks, fires, runs poorly then dies.

Hey guys, I have a 1989 chevy suburban v2500 with a 350 tbi and 4WD. I bought it a few months ago and replaced several parts including sensors, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, general tune up, and some cosmetic things. Recently this truck has popped on with a SES light with no codes doing the paperclip trick, and from some research I think it might be a failed distributor shaft. Can you guys tell me some symptoms of one if that's the the case? Much appreciated, I'm about ready to sell this thing because it's becoming more of a headache than a pleasure to own.

Regards,

OzzBurbs

Have you checked the coolant temperature sensor? Unplug it and see if it runs better, if so, that's your problem. I had the same issue with a 1990TBI Jimmy. About a $15 part

I replaced my CTS when I bought the truck so unfortunately is isn't that, I even unplugged it yesterday to see if it was a faulty sensor, but the new one is perfectly fine.
