still don't get it?
I did a search on this but still don't understand the difference. What is the difference in tranny crossmembers from a 3speed to auto?
Assuming we are talking about our 67-72 trucks, the std 3 spd has a crossmember under the bellhousing and the a/trans has the crossmember under the tail shaft extension housing of the trans.
Now I get it.Thanks man.How do people still use the same crossmember?I thought I seen where someone said they used theirs?
the 3 spd stick trans(saginaw)+ bellhousing, is the same lenght as short tail 350 turbo. The trans mount falls in the same place also.......so the auto crossmember can be used under the 3 spd trans. The bell mount stick crossmember will not work with the auto trans tho.....needs to be removed to install the auto trans. Hope that helps.......crazyL:burnout:
