Th350 extension housing question

1 Attachment(s)
Im doing the rear seal on the extension housing of my th350 and when i pulled off the housing there was like a copper or metal like gasket inbetween that and the trans. Everywhere ive looked i cant seem to find that gasket. Do i reuse it? Or maybe use RTV? Im not sure any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
Zach

that looks like a th400 housing th350 have a cone housing a short one and they make a long one.If you have a big hole in your bed that hiding the small nose cone then you got me the

picture go

1 700R4 short shaft only

2 400th 400 have a short shaft but in motor Homes with the trans brake I thought they have a long shaft

3 th350 has a long shaft and a short shaft

4 2 speed power glide Now the power glide has a long shaft and a short shaft

Now there are th200 200R4 But they never where in are trucks

Re: Th350 extension housing question

The bottom of the trans pan says th350 but when i crossed the number on rear seal it came back as a th400 trans seal. So is it possible that the housings are interchangable? I would imagine they would be different

If the picture is correct, you have a turbo 400. All that is needed is the o-ring or the paper gasket with a small amount of sealer on it. In the 30+ years I've been rebuilding these I've never seen a 'solid copper' gasket.
