were original upper hatch supports painted body color?

Supports were not painted. They were coated with a rust inhibiting coating. Just took my originals off, and they look sort of like old galvanize coating.

I appreciate it. I have a 69 4x4 suburban and inside the glove box door the sticker says "bumper deletion" and "winch." I would like to find out all the factory options for 69 suburban as mine has the pto winch and bumper. Most people I have talked to did not know that was ever an option.

I have the a 1969 4wd suburban with the PTO and winch from the factory that will pull the house down. The bad is it runs off the 221 rodchester. Looking for a np205 to improve oil leakage.

Don't know if it would help, but I found this link for the '72 suburban (same series, at least). It has all the options available. Perhaps you can poke around the same site to find yours. https://gmheritagecenter.com/docs/gm...t-Suburban.pdf

Looks like a nice version of a 50-year old Suburban! Can't wait to see what you do with it.
