New to site with lots of questions for a 68 c10 panel

Just purchased a 1968 Panel truck and am excited to start making it my own.

Actually found this ad with pics after i bought it:
http://topclassiccarsforsale.com/che...nel-truck.html

Having a hard time finding info and parts for the panel specifically and was wondering what suburban parts are interchangeable versus truck parts and was wondering if there was a thread I cant find that layed that out.

There is also a link to the Suburbans and Panels build projects from the above link but providing it here for convenience:

Using the 67-72 Chevy trucks search option will be one of your best friends in finding what you are looking for. btw - nice panel and congrats, please post some more photos (exterior/interior) when you can.

That's a nice Panel. It was for sale quite a while so you have already saved a bunch of money over its intial asking price. Is it as nice in real life as in the ad? If so it must of been the color that put people off. Lockdoc is one of the resident experts on Panels (and most other things too!) and a moderator on the Burban and Panel thread.
Welcome aboard

thanks HO455. I saw your burb. It looks like its going to be great. It's actually in pretty decent shape but the color is a bit extreme. The interior is rhinolined everywhere but the plywood. Seats are cheesy but the bench is in the back so will probably replace them with it. Just mulling possibilitys. Maybe a work truck with one of those sliding bed trays. Good advertising space.

Thanks for the kind words on the Burban. Glad to hear the Panel wasn't a pretty rust bucket. With that yellow your advertising certainly would get noticed. I've been seriously considering putting a cargo slide in the WMB. I just need to find one installed and check it out before I pull the trigger.

From the rear of the door forward these trucks are all the same. Panels, burbs and pickups. Roof height is a bit different on burbs and panels vs the pick ups, and obviously the blazers are different up top. Door frames are the same on the panel and burb, but the trucks are squared off. The body of the door is the same though on all.

Burbs and panels are basically the same beast. The floor out back is different on a burb than a panel. The panel comes all the way forward where the burb is cut off so as to fit the second seat better. If a burb has barn doors they are the same as the panel.

Congrats on the panel purchase.
I have seen it on the streets and always liked it. The good thing is that it was driven in morning and evening stop and go traffic while it was being used for a business.
