I'm a little iffy on the wheels, but the rest of the truck, especially that black 30-bar billet, is killer!

Re: Show lowered 88-98 trucks

The rims where the only 5 spoke wheel I could find in 5x5 lug pattern on craigslist. They wouldn't have been my first choice but for $200 bucks and another $100 in paint and a few hours, I don't think they came out bad. For $300 bucks I have a set of one of a kind wheels.

When I redo it im going to tub the back out and put some 22x10 with a big lip or 22x12. Im waiting on my eagle 231 wheels to come in for my k5 blazer to see how they look and if they look good im gonna order another set for this truck.

Nice truck! Those the Boss 338's?

Here's a couple more pics of my truck above after I sold it. Just happened to run into the guy at Cruisin' the Coast. Totally different look!

:thud: That is one of the best OBS trucks I've seen. So glad this picture was posted. We're getting ready to paint my dad's '90 a dark blue and it should end up VERY similar to this, once it's done. The cowl induction hood helped make the decision to get the hood, too. Gorgeous truck.

Mine. Bagged, 20/22 Boss 304s. Not my first choice of wheels, but they're in good shape and were on it when I got it. Front tires are a bit tall and fat, so those will be getting more correctly sized when they wear out. This is my daily driver.

While I can't take credit for the look, that's my old truck. The color is factory indigo blue metallic if that helps you any.

I agree with you about the wheels, but they don't look bad. I was/am in the same boat with mine, but I'm just rolling with what I have for now as well. You have such a clean ride though!

Wow, what kind of wheels are those on the silver truck with the work truck front clip? Those are badass!

I appreciate the comments, Roc. There are a few things left to do on it that are driving me nuts, but I think they're fixable. First is the spring wrap in the rear. Driving me nuts. I'm not sure if I want to try cal-tracs, traction bars, finding stock leafs and adding them to the existing mono, or replacing them with lowering springs with the air over leaf bag on top of that.

I'm not sure what those wheels are. I'll try to do a little browsing to see if I can figure out. Do you know about the guys from the Little Shop of Horrors? They're down in Lawrenceburg. They're suspension fabricating gurus & might be able to help or point you in the right direction. Here's a link to their site:

The wheels on the silver truck look real close to Raceline status 5's but I'm not 100% sure on that.

I was initially thinking Raceline wheels without having checked, & after looking I think you might have hit the nail on the head!

I know who they are, but I don't know them personally. Not a bad idea to call them up and see what they think. Thanks for the suggestion.

I met Eric (the owner) a couple times several years ago at some shows when they were not quite as well known. A guy from Sportruck.com had them building his S-10 Blazer. Eric's a really nice guy & very talented. I started following them on Facebook a while back & was reminded what quality work they do. I'd love to have them build something for me one day. Definitely wouldn't hurt to check with them.

Sent them an email asking the same questions I did above. Hopefully they'll have a suggestion or two for me.

I like it! I'm a huge fan of factory paint and dropped trucks. Especially two tones

What was the backspacing on the rear wheels of the Tahoe?

I remember that blue truck from truckin magazine a long time ago. I liked paint scheme on it.
