Heater Delete Plate For Dashboard ?

A fellow member that once produced the delete pieces for under the hood was also going to make one for the dashboard, did he ever offer them ? I emailed him but didn’t hear back ?

.

Went down the rabbit hole on this...there were factory delete plates..but rare indeed. Here's one that appears to be rather crude:

Ebay has heater control rebuild kits that you could maybe use to build your own:

There's one factory radio delete panel on eBay, but it's gonna be smaller than the heater control panel.

On an early truck, I used the opening from the heater controls and mounted a DIN style radio/stereo unit. I then used a radio delete and mounted my 3 round knobs for the Vintage air controls. I can't find the pictures on this computer. I do remember that I welded two metal tabs on each side of the opening as the heater is slightly wider than a DIN hole.
Found a couple pictures.

I am using a standard radio delete plate in that location. Moving controls for custom AC/Heater install into the panel below I made from an extra glove box. Panel will have ac/heater controls, two air vents, and LED rocker switches for 4x4 lighting.

Nice work on the new gauge panel. The radio delete fits surprisingly well. Rg

I did not want to cut up the dash so this was a way to make it look almost factory using the bottom of a glove box lid. This allows someone to put it back to the stock if they wish. The vents are from an Old Air Products Ac install I am doing.

Here is a picture of the start of the panel.

I used a 1/2” piece of aluminum to make a filler panel.
I then used it inside of the stock heater control panel, and then decided to put the Dakota Digital control panel in it, along with my electric fuel, and fan bypass switches.

Where did you get the illuminated on/off switches? I like those!

You’re looking for the proverbial “Unicorn, with a Golden Horn,, and Mermaid on its back”.
They exist, but I’d venture to say that the Heater Control delete Plate is the rarest of rare options/parts.
To my knowledge, they only went in a few fleet trucks, destined for tropical markets.

Local auto parts store.
I’m sure they can be found on Amazon as well.
