What is the biggest tire and rim you can put on a 2wd Burb?
 

Please list rim size and backspace alone with tire size and what drop you have. I am looking at buying a set of 20's and want to get the correct back spacing. Thanks

I'm getting to the point of thinking what wheels and tires I should put on also. Sure would be nice to know what worked on other burbs with different combo's.

22x9 font and rear 285/35/22.. i think they are 5" backspace

I had these wheels on mine, 18x8 front, 18x9.5 rear I think 4" bs front 4.5" bs rear. Early Classic airbags on rear. Whenever I would turn into a driveway and go through a little dip, the rears would rub on the wheeltubs due to body lean. I recently put rallys back on. Do like the look of the biggies, though. The thing to remember for 71-72s if you are doing bigs and littles is to have rear wheels with 1 inch more frontspace than the fronts so they will fill out the wheelwells the same amount.

But if you are going with 20's and stock wheel wells I'd copy Gringoloco's specs:

Front: 20x8.5 5.25" backspacing 255/45-20
Rear: 20x10 5.5" backspacing 295/45-20

After he lost the stock wheel wells... But they worked with them in place:

22x9.5 with 5.75 backspacing 305/40r22 On the driver side the front slightly touches the lip of the fender when as the tire tucks in when I let the air out. the pic. is @ ride hight.

22x9 and a +20mm offset. Tires are 265/35/22. Drop spindles, air bags, c-notch kit and an adjustable track bar. I have a 1/4" clearance to the inner fenders in the front. I have full steering when aired out! :metal:

I just looked and they are actually 9.5" wide. The backspace is 6" but I also have a 1/4" spacer in the rear. You might need a spacer in the rear too if you go very low. The front is perfect.

To convert mm to inches, either multiply the mm by .03937 or divide by 25.4 (25.4mm = 1 inch)

I was thinking of putting a29/ 15 /R20 on the back of my 67 gmc (after tubs of course).Anyone know how big of a tire will fit with a tub??
