Bed cross sill BRACKETS and pads
 
these bracket and pads are not wide enough.
where can I get wider ones?, they need to be closer to 3" wide.

I thought the metal pieces came already welded to the cross braces.

...or fab the brackets with a vise and a hammer and make the pads out of any kind of rubber. The brackets are important because they keep the cross sills from spreading, and rubber or metal shim added to the pad here and there helps level the tops of the cross sills if necessary, so don't leave home without 'em! :eek:

Yea I'v had to make a lot of things so I guess I will have to make them.
I do have a cheep 3' brake.

Those mar-K rubbers do look wider

i boxed the frame and welded angle iron brackets to the boxed sections, made 10 ga square washers and welded them on, inboard of the stock holes

Just to give you another idea. I boxed my frame too, but before I did I welded nuts under the original holes so I could screw bolts under them. I NEVER think ahead like this, but at least this time I did.
