Dark Poly '67 CST Shorty

I picked up this little beauty in Reno Nevada last August when attending the "Hot August Nights" show, I saw it at the auto swapmeet area, it was a unrunning '67 SWB CST, that was stock height at the time with some hideous rollers tires with a big "For Sale" sign, upon closer investigation I noticed the factory bucket seats that were standard in the '67 CST were still present, I also noticed a few other options that appealed to me along with the Dark Aqua Poly color..... after doing "the dance" the truck was mine. ;) It's kinda personalized now! :metal:

Looks great Rene. But I've never seen you put semi-wide whites on a lowered C10 before, I like it! ;)

What a cool truck. That thing is a gem! Nice save.

Did you paint the mirror heads white? I like how that looks.

Yep, good to see you back. It's a good trademark. Same tires and wheel covers I had on my first truck.

Nope, first year was '69 for Comfotilt. This falls under his "personalization" category. Looks better matching, doesn't it?

Rene, you did a great job on that patina. Looks so real!!!

Is it a 283 under that hood? If you decide to part...

The man is a magnet for these old trucks I tell ya. I don't know how he finds them all. It's a good look. I've never really cared for the toppers but I know they have their use. Seeing old ones in good shape are rare though.
I've never been a white wall guy but the older I get the more I look at them. They are a rarity on today's vehicles.

A 67 CST shorty and with the small window , sooo nice. Is that a four speed ? The tilt looks like it's been with the truck from the factory. Good looking truck you got there.

Been following you on instagram for a long time, Rene, but this has to be my favorite truck you've owned. If you ever decide to let it go, I hope you'll give us East Coast boys a chance at it. :)

Thanks, to me its a no-brainer, a lot cheaper than nice after market tires and rims, and looks awesome on factory painted trucks, regardless of the condition of the paint.

Yup, the toppers I use mostly when I attend auto swapmeets, so much easier to store parts in the back without having to worry about someone walking away with them.... The white wall is just a personal thing that I always liked on original looking trucks.

Yup, a factory "granny" four that still works well.... and the tilt, made by forum member "Kevin Hernandez" is the icing on the cake!!!! :metal:

Tilt man Kev up to his old tricks! Was going to ask about him, John O, and the rest your crew.

I'll go look at the Blazer thread if you say you told it's story there. I'm getting bored with this thread anyway.
